Girl among two succumb to injuries; two injured in road accidents

JAMMU, Oct 17: A girl was among two succumbed to their injuries at Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), while, two others were injured in road accidents.
As per reports, a motorcycle bearing registration number JK02AB-4608, was hit by an unknown vehicle near Chichi Mata Temple, Mansar Morh, yesterday in which one persons was killed on the spot, while, two girls were seriously injured.
The girls identified as Pinki and Priya, daughters of Nika Ram of Rajpura, Jammu, were shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), where doctors declared Pinki as brought dead.
Priya, who was undergoing treatment, failed to respond to the treatment and succumbed to her injuries at GMC Hospital, today.
The body was handed over to family members after completion of legal formalities, while, a case under relevant Sections has been registered at Samba Police Station and investigation started.
Meanwhile, an accident victim succumbed to his injuries at Government Medical College and Hospital, here today.
Identified as Darshan Kumar, son of Chuni Lal of New Plot, was seriously injured when the motorcycle he was riding, was hit by an unknown vehicle at Akhnoor area of the city outskirts, yesterday.
He was shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), where he failed to respond to the treatment and succumbed to his injuries.
The body was handed over to family member after autopsy, while, a case under relevant Sections has been registered at concerned police station and investigation started.
In another incident, one person was injured, when a car hit his scooty at Asia crossing, late this evening.
As per reports, Ved Parkash, son of Girdhari Lal of Nanak Nagar, was injured, when the Eterno scooter he was riding, was hit by a car bearing registration number JK02AU 4454 near Asia crossing.
Police rushed to the spot and shifted the injured to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), where he was responding to the treatment, when last reports came in.
A case has been registered at Nehru Market Police Post and hunt was on to nab the driver of the car, who fled from the spot after coming the crime.
As per reports, one person was injured in a motorcycle- scooter collision at Omara Morh in district Udhampur.
Identified as Suresh Kumar, son of Dharam Chand of Malhar was driving a motorcycle bearing registration number JK14B 1481, when it collided with an unknown scooter at Omara Morh.
Local people shifted him to district hospital, where his condition was stated to be stable, when last reports came in.
A case has been registered and investigation started.
