RAMBAN, Oct 19: A girl allegedly attempted suicide before her marriage ceremony today in Hillar Kunda area of tehsil Rajgarh.
As per police sources, a girl identified as Ram Latta Devi, daughter of Daleep Chand Bhagat of Hillar Kunda Tehsil Rajgarh allegedly consumed some poisonous substance at her residence.
She was immediately rushed to District Hospital Ramban, where she was undergoing treatment, when last reports came in.
It is pertinent to mention here that the girl was about to get married today with a youth hailing from Gaglla Kastigarh area of District Doda. She attempted suicide, when the barat was at her doorstep last evening.
However, Rajgarh Police has started investigation to ascertain the cause of such big step by the girl.
