RAMBAN, Jan 8: A girl has been cheated by ATM fraudsters and a case in this regard has been registered at Ramban Police Station.
As per police sources, a complaint has been lodged by a girl namely Rafia Bano, daughter of Shamshu Din, a resident of Chamalwas, tehsil Banihal with Police Station Ramban stating that she visited Ramban in the month of December for some work.
“During my visit to Ramban, I visit J&K Bank ATM on the Court Road and tried to withdraw cash. As I failed, some persons standing there helped me out. Today I came to know that some unknown persons have withdrawn around Rs 30,000 to Rs 40,000 from my account through ATM on several occasions”, the girl stated in the complaint.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 7/18 under Sections 420 and 379 RPC has been registered at Ramban Police Station and investigation started.
