JAMMU, Feb 21: A young girl today made an abortive attempt on her life by consuming some poisonous substance at her residence in Jagti Colony, Nagrota.
According to a police spokesperson, the girl has been identified as Sonika Pandita (21) daughter of Pyare Lal, a resident of Jagti Colony, Nagrota. In unconscious condition, the family members shifted her to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), where her condition was stated to be stable, he added.
However, it was not known why she took this extreme step. The concerned police has taken cognizance of the matter.
