UDHAMPUR, Apr 30: A young girl attempted suicide by consuming some poisonous substance at her residence near Birma Bridge in Udhampur.
According to the police report, Sahina (19), was found lying semi-unconscious condition in her room after she allegedly consumed some poisonous substance under mysterious circumstances. The family members shifted her to District Hospital Udhampur where doctors referred her to GMC Hospital Jammu in view of her serious condition.
Cause behind the suicide attempt could not be ascertained while Police has registered a case in this connection for further investigation.
Meanwhile, two persons were injured when their Scooty skidded off the road near Tikri today. The injured were identified as Vicky, son of Madan Lal and Suresh Kumar, son of Chaman Lal, both the residents of Bahu Fort Jammu.
