JAMMU, Jan 17: An 18-year old girl today died due to electrocution at her rented residence here at Gujjar Nagar.
According to a police spokesperson, the girl identified as Samina Begum daughter of Ghulam Hassan, a resident of Kokernag in Kashmir (at present Gujjar Nagar in a rented accomodation) inadvertently came in contact with a live wire at the roof of 2nd floor of her residence and then fell at the roof of ground floor.
In unconscious condition she was shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Jammu, where doctors declared her as brought dead. The body of the deceased was handed over to her legal heirs after conducting post mortem.
A case in this regard has been registered at concerned police station and investigation started.
