POONCH, Aug 18: A young girl committed suicide while another made abortive bid on her life by consuming some poisonous stuff in Mendhar sub division today.
A police spokesman said that young Nusrat Naz, daughter of Mohd Khaliq, resident of Thera Topa village became serious after she allegedly consumed some poisonous substance at her residence today. She was rushed to SDH Mendhar by the family where she died after some time. The police has taken cognizance of the matter.
22-year-old, Balqees Kouser, wife of one Javed Iqbal, resident of Chhunga village in Mendhar became serious after she consumed some poisonous stuff at her residence this afternoon. She was admitted to SDH Mendhar and her condition was said to be improving, the police said.
