UDHAMPUR, Aug 11: A teenaged girl committed suicide by hanging herself from ceiling fan hook in Indian Air Force family quarters, here today.
The deceased was identified as 18 years old Monika Kumari, daughter of Govind Dev Singh of Uttarakhand, presently putting up at IAF Family Quarters Udhampur. She was found hanging from ceiling fan hook under mysterious circumstances.
Family member saw her hanging and immediately called the Police that rushed to the spot. The girl was taken to hospital where doctors declared her as brought dead. Later the body was shifted to mortuary for conducting postmortem.
Cause behind the extreme step could not be ascertained while Police has registered a case for further investigation.
