RAJOURI, Mar 16: A girl committed suicide by consuming poisonous substance at her residence at Manjakote today while 15-year-old boy was killed after a tree fell on him at Dhankote village in the district today.
A police spokesman said that 18-year-old Shaheen Kouser, daughter of Zakir Hussain, resident of Manjakote became serious after she consumed some poisonous substance at her residence in the morning. She was rushed to Rajouri hospital where doctors washed her stomach. As her condition deteriorated, she died there in the hospital. The police has registered a case in this connection.
Meanwhile, 15-year-old Mohd Shafiq, son of Bagh Hussain, resident of Grad was on way to his village from Dankote. The boy was studying in Class 8th and unaware of the danger he was moving in to his home. A villager was felling trees on the road side on hill side. The tree fell on him resulting into serious head injuries. The boy was killed on the spot. The police has registered a case in this connection.
