KATHUA, June 20: A girl allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself in her house at Govindsar area, falling under the jurisdiction of Kathua Police Station, a police official said.
The deceased has been identified as Kajal (20), daughter of late Raj Kumar, a resident of Govindsar, district Kathua.
The body has been shifted to mortuary of District Hospital Kathua for autopsy, which will be conducted tomorrow.
Kathua police has initiated inquest proceedings under Section 174 CrPC in this regards.
