JAMMU, June 6: An 18-year old girl allegedly committed suicide by hanging self at her residence in Dashmesh Nagar area falling under the limits of Satwari police station.
According to police spokesperson, the girl identified as Tanveer Kour daughter of late Gurdeep Singh, was found hanging this morning at her residence by the family members, who informed the police.
On getting information, police reached the spot and shifted the dead body to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, where after conducting post mortem the body of the deceased was handed over to her legal heirs for last rites.
Though no suicide note was recovered from the spot, the concerned police has registered a case and started investigations.
