Girl impersonator arrested during class 10th exam

JAMMU, May 9: Police and officials of J&K Board of School Education (BOSE) today arrested a girl impersonator, who was appearing on behalf of her cousin in the class 10th examination (private) from Government School Shastri Nagar, falling under the jurisdiction of Gandhi Nagar Police Station.
As per police sources, the examination staff appointed by the BOSE became suspicious about the girl candidate in the examination Centre of class 10th at Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Shastri Nagar.
When the invigilators matched her with the photographs of the original candidate, she found them to be proxy candidate who was appearing for her cousin.
Accordingly, the police was informed about the matter and a police team from Gandhi Nagar police station led by SDPO Gandhi Nagar Harjeet Singh rushed to the spot and arrested the girl impersonator.
A case under relevant Sections has been registered at Gandhi Nagar police station in this regard and investigation started.
