RAMBAN, Oct 9: A 20-year-old girl allegedly committed suicide by jumping into river Chenab in district Ramban.
Police spokesman said that, 20-year-old girl namely Fareeda Bano, daughter of Aziz Naik of Parnote, Ramban, presently living with her relatives at Maitra, Ramban, committed suicide by jumping into river Chenab, here this morning.
After getting information, police rushed to the spot and divers were pressed in, but till late night, the body of the girl could not be traced out.
A case has been registered at Ramban Police Station to ascertain the reason behind such extreme step.
