JAMMU, Jan 22: A girl was killed while three others were injured when the jeep they were traveling in collided with a divider and turned turtle near Panjgrain area, falling under the jurisdiction of Nagrota Police Station.
As per police sources, a jeep driven by Rajat Tickoo, son of Raman Tickoo of Talab Tillo in rash and negligent manner hit a divider and later turned turtle near Panjgrain area, resulting into injuries to four persons traveling in the vehicle.
After getting information, police team rushed to the spot and shifted the injured persons to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) Jammu, where doctors declared one of the injured as brought dead, while three others were responding to the treatment, when last reports came in.
The deceased has been identified as Manpreet Kour (25), daughter of Bupinder Singh, a resident of Tral District Pulwama, while the injured have been identified as Rajat Tickoo, Ruchi Tickoo, daughter of Raman Tickoo of Talab Tillo and Tavish Malik, son of Noor Illahi Malik, a resident of Gujjar Nagar.
A case under FIR Number 48/19 under section 279, 337 and 304-A RPC has been registered at Nagrota Police Station and investigation started.
