SRINAGAR, Dec 12: Police today said a minor girl was killed while thirty two others were injured in different road accidents across Valley.
A police spokesman said an Auto bearing registration number JK05C-9440 hit and injured a minor girl namely Seerat Bilal at Bypass near Tulibal Bridge in Sopore area of Baramulla district. The injured was shifted to Sub District Hospital Sopore for treatment where she succumbed to her injuries. After completion of medico legal formalities, the body of the deceased was handed over to her legal heirs for last rites.
The police spokesman said a bus bearing registration number JK02-7673 turned turtle near Kripalpora Paeen along National Highway in Pattan area of Baramulla district, resulting in injuries to 22 persons. All the injured persons were shifted to JVC hospital for treatment where from five of the injured were shifted to SMHS Hospital Srinagar for further treatment.
The spokesman said a motorcycle bearing registration number JK05-9901 hit and injured a pedestrian namely Mukhti Begum at Chakloo in Baramulla district. The injured was shifted to District Hospital Baramulla for treatment where from she was shifted to SMHS Hospital Srinagar for further treatment.
The police spokesman said a Tavera bearing registration number JK03E-5972 driven by Abdul Hamid Chopan turned turtle near Buchoo village of Kokernag area of Anantnag district, resulting in injuries to the driver and three passengers boarding the vehicle. All the injured were shifted to Sub District Hospital Kokernag for treatment Police have registered a case in this regard.
The police spokesman said that a vehicle bearing registration number JK03A-1681 hit and injured a pedestrian namely Rafia Ismail at Bus Stand Tral in Pulwama district. The injured was shifted to Sub District Hospital Tral for treatment where from she was shifted to Bone and Joint Hospital Srinagar for further treatment.
The police said a motorcycle driven by Shahzad Ahmad Koka met with an accident at Melhura in Zainapora area of Shopian district, resulting in injuries to the motorcyclist and two pillion mates namely Abid Ahmad Koka and Abdul Rashid Dar. All the injured were shifted to Sub District Hospital Bijbehara for treatment where from they were shifted to District Hospital Anantnag for further treatment.
The police spokesman said a Bolero vehicle bearing registration number JK09A-4905 driven by Ghulam Mustafa Bhat hit and injured a pedestrian namely Rouf Ahmad Peer at Hayen village of Trehgam in Kupwara district. “The injured was shifted to Trehgam Hospital for treatment where from he was shifted to District Hospital Kupwara for further treatment. Police have taken cognizance in all the cases.
