RAJOURI, Apr 10: A 6-year-old girl was killed while her father seriously injured after their new bike hit with a Tempo Traveler near Nowshera bridge this afternoon.
The mishap took place when bike rider, Sumit Sharma resident of Muradpur in Rajouri was on way to his home in Rajouri from Jammu on newly purchased bike. His 6-year old daughter Tanu was also accompanying him. Sumit had boarded his wife in a Tata Sumo vehicle at Jammu before leaving on new motor-cycle to Rajouri. When the bike reached near Nowshera bridge, it met head on collision with a Tempo- Traveler bearing registration No.JK12/ 1250. While the girl Tanu was killed on the spot, her father Sumit was shifted to Nowshera hospital and later referred to GMC hospital, Jammu for serious injuries. The police has taken cognizance of the matter.
