JAMMU, Feb 17: A girl has been raped by a man in the area falling under the jurisdiction of Bagh-e-Bahu Police Station.
As per police sources, a girl has been raped by a man identified as Manoj of Himachal Pradesh. The accused threatened the girl of dire consequences, if she revealed the ordeal to anyone.
However, the girl mustered courage and narrated the whole incident to her parents, who lodged a complaint in this regard with Police Station Bagh-e-Bahu.
After conducting medical examination, the girl has been handed over to family members.
A case under FIR number 14/18 under Section 376 RPC has been registered at Bagh-e-Bahu Police Station and hunt has been launched to arrest the rapist.
