Girl reunited with family by GRP Jammu

JAMMU, May 2: A three and half year old girl, who was found roaming at Railway Station Jammu was reunited with her relatives here today by GRP Jammu.
According to SP Railways Jammu, Suram Singh, on April 30, men of GRP Jammu found a female child of 3½ years age at Railway Station Jammu roaming unnecessarily and lonely.
He added that the child was handed over to Child Line authorities and efforts were made to trace the whereabouts of parents of the said girl through print media, Whatsapp, e-mail and telephonic conversations.
On the same day photograph of the said child alongwith details were sent to police station City Barnala as the latter informed SHO GRP Jammu about the missing report of the child stands lodged in their police station, he stated.
On this a special team of Barnala City Police reached police station GRP Jammu accompanied by relative of the child identified as Harish Kumar, son of Prem Kumar of Jhande Wala Road Barnala Punjab, he said, adding that incharge Child Line was accordingly informed of the same who also reported at police station GRP Jammu alongwith child.
SP informed that the facts were verified by SHO police station GRP Jammu in presence of Incharge Child Line Jammu and Police Party of Barnala Punjab where it surfaced that Harish Kumar is the actual guardian of the said Girl Child namely Chanchal.
