Srinagar, Feb 23: Army today said a group of girl students from North Kashmir’s Tanghdar area of Baramulla district met President Pranab Mukherjee at Rashtrapati Bhawan in New Delhi.
A defence spokesman said 16 girl students of Army Goodwill School (AGS) Hajinar in Tangdhar who are currently on a Capacity Building tour organised by the Army today met the President.
“The President’s happiness at meeting the children was palpable as he warmly welcomed them and wished for their bright and successful futures. The girls who presented a memento to the Supreme Commander of the Armed forces too were excited at having had this lifetime opportunity to meet him at the historical Rashtrapati Bhawan,” he said.
