SRINAGAR : Out of 99 selected candidates, 30 were female with a girl scoring first position in the Combined Competitive (Preliminary) Examination 2013 results of which were declared by the Public Service Commission (PSC) today.
An official spokesperson said the list of 99 selected candidates issued by PSC includes 30 female students with Saba Noor securing the first position.
Meanwhile, 13 candidates belonging to reserved categories have also found place in the Open Merit (OM) category.
He said 2477 candidates out of 20236 applicants had qualified the Combined Competitive (Main) Examination 2013, which was conducted between March 1 and April 3, 2014.
He said the selected candidates were called for interview between June 23 and July 21, 2014, which was qualified by 341 aspirants and the final list of 99 candidates have been called for Medical Examination.
The applications for Preliminary Examination were invited in the month of June, 2013, he said adding, the Preliminary Examination was conducted on September 29, 2013.
This is the sixth consecutive Combined Competitive Examination being conducted by the Commission, he added. (AGENCIES)
