Inter Panchayat Tournament concludes

JAMMU, Apr 28: Girls of Upper Gharota panchayat thrashed Bhalwal panchayat and claimed the title of Kabaddi event of the Inter-Panchayat Tournament organised by Department of Youth Services and Sports at Government Higher Secondary School Bhalwal, which concluded here today.
On the concluding day, Deputy Director, Youth Services and Sports, SS Bali along with Tirath Ram, District Youth Services and Sports Officer (DYSSO) visited the venue, where the competitions were organised for girls.
During the tournament, Upper Gharota panchayat beat Bhalwal panchayat in Kabaddi whereas in Kho-Kho, Amb panchayat registered win over Upper Gharota panchayat.
In Volleyball, Upper Gharota panchayat thrashed Gurha Brahmana panchayat while in Handball, Bhalwal panchayat outplayed Gurah Brahmana panchayat.
The matches were officiated by Gulbir Singh, Balwan Singh, Ram Paul, Sunil Abrol, Auresh Singh, Jyoti Sharma, Satika Sharma, Kulbir Singh, Sudesh Jamwal, Gagan Kumar, Hamif, BD Sharma, Meenakshi Sharma and Arti Thakur.
The tournament was organised under the supervision of District Youth Services Officer, Tirath Ram, while ZPEO Bhalwal, Bhim Singh, was the overall incharge.
