Srinagar, Jan 21: Girls outshined the boys in class 12th examinations held last year in December with the girls bagging the first positions in all the streams.
In Science Stream, Bushra Amin of Muslim Institute Higher Secondary School Pampore got first position securing 489 marks out of 500. In the same stream, Meelad Mohammad Sheikh of Tyndale Biscoe got the second position with 488 marks while as Hafsa Masood of Mallinson Girls Higher Secondary School got third with 487 marks.
In the Commerce Stream, Tehneez Bashir of Green Valley Educational Institute Srinagar got first position securing 471, Anfa Gulzar of Candid Higher Secondary School Nowgam got second securing 469 and Furqan Showkat, of Government Higher Secondary School Nanil got third securing 467 marks.
In the Arts Stream, Aiman Jan Habeeb, of Jamia-tul-Banat School Umar Colony Lal Bazar here got first position securing 486 , Suraya Nazir second securing 480 marks and Ummay Honey got third securing 479 marks. Both are the students of Jami-tul-Banat School.
In the Home Science Stream, Iflah Shabir of Government Higher Secondary School Kothi Bagh got first with 471 marks, Nasheem Ashraf got second with 469 and Bisma Nazir got third securing 444 marks. Nasheem and Bisma are the students of Government Higher Secondary School Kothi Bagh.
Bushra Amin, who topped the 12th class examination by scoring 489 marks out of 500, dedicated her success to her teachers and parents who guided her at every step, and wants to become a doctor.
“I am thankful to Almighty who bestowed me this success. It’s Allah who gives you success and it’s him who snatches it,” said Bushra Amin, who resides at Khankhah Bagh locality of Pampore in south Kashmir.
“Time management was the key to my success. I used internet only when it was needed,” she reveals. “Now my goal is to crack Common Entrance Test (CET) and I want to be a good doctor,” said Bushra while divulging her future plan. Bushra has done her schooling from prestigious Muslim Education Institute in Pampore.
The parents of the girl are extremely jubilant over their daughter’s extraordinary performance. “This is the most precious moment of my life,” said Mohammad Amin, the father of Bushra. “I am thankful to her she made me proud,” he added.
The joy of Bushra’s mother knew no bounds. “I am on the seventh cloud today. I have had never seen such happiness in my life. My head is spinning and legs shivering. May Allah give every parent such dignity and honour,” said Saleema Akhtar, her mother.
