JAMMU, Dec 11: Giving a clarion call to voters of Jammu West to join his mission of converting the area as a model constituency, independent candidate from Jammu West, Sanjay Gupta, today appealed the people to give a befitting reply to all those who want to divide the people on the name of caste, creed and religion just to get some more votes.
In his public meetings and door to door campaign in Ward No 40, 41 and 44, Gupta said his mission is to serve the people and for that development of Jammu West needs focused attention. He decried the inimical elements for diverting the attention from development and exploiting public sentiment on various sensitive issues.
Sanjay Gupta, while calling upon people to foil the designs of such forces, said that he was overwhelmed to see the enthusiasm among people of Jammu West especially youth who want to join the new saga of progress and development in a big way. “This will be possible when my hands will be strengthened”, he maintained.
In the afternoon, large number of prominent citizens from Bakshi Nagar, Bhagwati Nagar, Resham Ghar Colony area accorded warm welcome to Sanjay Gupta and accorded him full support. They said that Sanjay being very down to earth person is not a politician but a social worker. He has earned good respect among the masses and is always ready to help anybody from any community or religion. Therefore, they have resolved to support Sanjay Gupta and ensure his victory in the elections.
