JAMMU, May 11: Modi Shah Mission’s National Chairman Raju Chandel today demanded security for panchs and sarpanchs of hilly districts of Jammu province.
The Central Government has been spending crores of rupees unnecessarily in the name of providing security to the leaders of Jammu and Kashmir for a long time which need to be reviewed and give to those like panchs and sarpanchs of hilly districts of Jammu province like Doda, Kishtwar, Ramban etc.
Panchs and sarpanchs in these hilly districts have not been given any security at all while they are constantly being threatened by the terrorists and, Chandel said the panchs and sarpanchs are working under an atmosphere of fear in these districts.
“Similarly, many BJP leaders in these areas are soft targets of terrorists and they need to be given protection on priority keeping in view the threat of terrorist looming large over them as in the past we have seen how terrorists killed Parihar brothers associated with Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS),” he added.
Chandel demanded that these panchs, sarpanchs and BJP/hindutva leaders should be given police protection on priority.
