GL Dogra’s contribution exemplary for J&K: Cong

KATHUA, July 17:  District Congress Committee Kathua led by former Member Legislative Council and DCC president Subhash Chander Gupta paid rich tributes to Late Girdhari Lal Dogra,  former Finance Minister and Ex-Member Parliament on his 102nd birth anniversary at his native place Hiranagar Morh today.
A large number of people of the area and Congress activists were present next to his statue situated at Hiranagar Morh, near National Highway to pay homage to the veteran Congress leader known for his honesty, simplicity, and dedication for his service to the poor and down-trodden.
Subhash Gupta, while paying tributes to Girdhari Lal Dogra, recalled the contribution of  Late  Dogra for the development of the State. He particularly highlighted his humbleness and dedicated service towards the poor and deprived section of the society.
Gupta said that Late Dogra was the leader of the masses and always felt pleasure in solving the genuine problems of the common public.
“The people of our area are proud that such a charismatic leader was born here at village Bhaiya of Hiranagar,” he added.
The DCC president further added that politicians like Girdhari Lal Dogra were very few in number today and we should take inspiration from his good deeds. It is because of these qualities that people always remember and respect him.
He added that following the footsteps of Girdhari Lal Dogra would be the real tribute to him on his birth anniversary.
Prominent among those present on the occasion includes- Aradhana Andotra, Ex-Sarpanch Puran Chand, Ex-Sarpanch Satpal, Jugal Kishore Bali, Anant Ram Dogra, Murari Lal, Ajeet Chander, Ashok Kumar, Praveen Bhagat, Ramesh Kundal, Dhruv Singh, Master Satpal, Shangroo Ram and KC Bhagat.
