Bhartya Sanskriti Ke Vividh Aayam, a book iin Hindi by renowned writer Dr. Satyapal Shrivatas is his last creative work on the proud cultural and literacy Indian traditions. The book was lying for review with me but in the meanwhile Dr. Srivatas was snatched by the cruel fate during mid-December, 2016 causing a great loss to literary world. This book review is a tribute to the great writer and a decent human being, who has made significant contribution to our language and cultural heritage. .
This 222-page book mainly deals with the stalwarts of letters as well as prominent figures from art, culture and other fields. Some of the eminent personalities mentioned in this book are: Guru Nanak Devji, Panani, Maharishi Balmiki, Mahatama Gandhi, Rabinder Nath Tagore, Harbansh Rai, Bachan, Vishnu Kant Shastri . In addition, Dr. Srivatas has given detailed account of Amrita Pritam and other top literary and other social and cultural persons. An elaborate description of Lord Ram Chandra’s message and relevance to the common masses is in the first chapter of the book which make it much worthy for the reading public.
Valuable Work
The book has been published by a leading Publishing House of the National Capital, New Delhi and is a quality production moderately priced at Rs 600 only. It is a very informative and interesting book which will be of great interest for the scholars, students and even common citizens in Jammu and Kashmir as also elsewhere in the country.
This valuable book is a significant contribution of late Dr. S.P Srivatas who has given a number of good books during his literacy life after rendering successful teaching career in a college. Dr. Srivatas will be fondly remembered by all in the literacy and cultural circles and most people across the country and beyond.
