JAMMU, May 27: For strategic planning of Globathon walk scheduled to be held on September 29, the professional groups, academicians, educationists and advocacy groups held a meeting at Lajwanti Medical Trust Hospital, Greater Kailash.
The walk will be organised to receive extensive local and regional coverage magnifying the impact of Globathon walk to end women’s cancer and amplifying the core message of raising awareness of gynecologic cancer.
The leaders were influenced by the decisions of all participants to harness energy for the fulfillment of mission of walk to raise awareness, unify professional organizations and advocacy groups in common goal of raising awareness and facilitate improvement communication and dissemination of information among patients.
The participants realized that a change in the attitude of woman and her relative is required and there should be public information regarding the origins and treatment of gynecologic cancer, its early detection and prevention, lecturers for specialists and oncology nurses providing information on diet, symptoms and stress reduction techniques.
