JAMMU, Sept 25: On the last day of centenary celebration of birthday of Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhayaya a programme was organised at the party headquarter, Trikuta Nagar,  Jammu by the BJP Minority Morcha to pay rich tributes to the legendary leader of the party whose contributions were recalled.
Speaking on the occasion S. Varinderjeet Singh incharge of All Cells BJP said that Pandit Ji during his tenure as president of the party gave new impetus and direction to the party and proliferated the basic carder of the party.  While paying tributes to the Upadhayaya ji he further said that the party should follow the foot prints of the great and visionary leader to strengthen it by the selfless services.
Gurdyal Singh Bali State general secretary Minority Morcha while addressing the gathering to mark the occasion said that the Minority Morcha J&K will endeavour it’s best to make the dream of Upadhayaya Ji true by bringing in to the party fold all the minorities of the country.  This will be a real tribute to the great leader.
S. Randhir Singh Bali district president Minority Morcha, said that paying floral tributes to the legendary soul will strengthen our resolve to make the country strong by rising above all barriers in the true spirit of secularism.
Among others the meet was attended by Rashpal Verma Vice-Chairmen OBC Board, Rajiv Charak incharge Training Cell BJP, V.K Sethi State convenor Senior Citizen Cell, S. Harpal Singh State publicity secretary Minority Morcha, S. Charan Singh Bali vice-president District Minority Morcha, Asad Malik Executive Member State Minority Morcha, S. Harbinder Singh Incharge State Minority Morcha, Srinagar and S. Harbhajan Singh.
Birth anniversary of Deendayal Upadhayaya was also celebrated in all the Mandals of district Doda today under the overall leadership of district president Manjeet Razdan.
Razdan who himself chaired the function at Gandoh Mandal Bhellasa paid glowing tributes to Upadhayaya and highlighted his ideology which later became the ideology of BJP.
This was followed by a cleanliness drive at Sub District Hospital Gandoh under Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. Others who addressed included Bipna Manhas, BJP Mahila Morcha president Doda, Amarchand, Sonika Thakur and Mandal president Gandoh, Mahinder Singh.
The concluding function of Deen Dayal Upadhayaya birth centenary celebration was held at Banyari village of Hiranagar tehsil in Kathua district under the chairmanship of Karan Kumar in which the district president BJP Kathua, Prem Nath Dogra was the chief guest.
Addressing the function Dogra said that few people sacrifice their every thing for the nation and its people and Upadhayaya was one among them. He cleared the IAS but did not join the civil services to serve the nation, Dogra added.
This is only possible in BJP as many RSS volunteers sacrificed their lives for nation, he said, adding that pro poor policies launched by BJP Government at Delhi are based on Upadhayaya’s ideology. Making a dig at the opportunist politicians, he said that they are supporting Rohingiyas for vote politics while BJP opposes them as it does not believe in vote politics but its objective is making India strong so that it will again emerge as Vishaw Guru.
Dogra also made a dig at Congress and accused it of giving Chamb to Pakistan in 1971 war when Indian forces had advanced and captured a lot of territory of Pakistan. Other BJP leaders present also spoke on the occasion. Functions were held at other places of the Jammu region also in this connection where speakers paid rich tributes to this great son of the nation.
