SAMBA, Sept 4: Glowing tributes were paid to martyr Pawan Kumar on his martyrdom day here today.
In the year 2008, Shaheed Pawan Kumar of Ghagwal area of district Samba died in Dhaggar Bani area of district Kathua, while taking on terrorists.
SP Aijaz Zargar while paying tributes to him said that the fight against terrorism has not yet ended, but the martyrdom of soldiers like Pawan Kumar imbibed the spirit of valour among the jawans of JK Police. Among others who paid tributes included the mother of the martyr Krishna Devi, Ghagwal BDC chairman, Vijay Tagotra, SDPO Tilak Raj Bhardwaj, Dysp DAR Chabbil Singh, SHO Ghagwal Kuldeep Raj, Sub Inspector Ashok Kumar, Sub Inspector Sham Lal, former MLA Durga Das, former MLA Kuldeep Raj and local sarpanches.
