JAMMU, Aug 26: General Line Teachers’ Forum (GLTF) has expressed serious concern over arbitrary adjustments and transfers of teachers promoted to Master in the list published by Director School Education (DSE) Jammu on February, 12, 2014 and demanded the Government to conduct an enquiry into the matter.
In a meeting of the Forum held here today under the presidentship of State president of the Forum, Neeraj Sharma and Woman Wing president, Mrignayani Slathia, the speakers alleged that some of the teachers have been given adjustment orders on promotion throwing all the rules and regulations to the wind while the general adjustment order is still awaited from DSE.
It is a question mark on the credibility of the Director and CEO Jammu, who are doing such irregular and irresponsible work without any fear and shame and tarnishing the image of Education Department for some vested interests, they said, adding the teaching community is feeling helpless and is disappointed over this scenario, as there seems no law and order prevailing in the Department.
The Forum demanded the Director to revoke all such illegal orders immediately and stop discrimination with other teachers named in the list. It also demanded the Government to constitute an enquiry into the matter and punish the guilty irrespective of his rank and post.
The Forum gave an ultimatum of five days to set the things in order, failing which it said will gherao the Director, DSE and CEO Jammu.
