GMC Baramulla records 24 normal deliveries out of 25

Srinagar, July 27: The Government Medical College (GMC), Baramulla has recorded 24 normal deliveries out of 25 pregnant women who reported to the hospital in the last 24 hours, officials said.
The shift has been noted in compliance with the Government’s directives to reduce LSCS (Lower Segment Cesarean Section) rates in all health facilities across J&K.
In this regard, the officials said, the Principal, GMC Baramulla has issued strict directives to adhere to the orders issued related to promoting the normal deliveries.
“As a result, the Gynaecology and Obstetrics Department at GMC Baramulla is actively working towards cutting down the LSCS rate,” officials said.
They informed that in the last 24 hours, a record significant shift has been noted with 24 such women undergoing Normal Vaginal Deliveries, out of 25, while only one Primae LSCS was reported.
“This notable achievement reflects their dedication to promoting natural deliveries and reducing unnecessary cesarean sections,” officials said.
