JAMMU, Nov 17: A general Body Meeting (GBM) of Indian Society of Blood Transfusion & Immunohematology (ISBTI) J&K UT Chapter was held today in the Department of Blood Transfusion, Govt. Medical College, Jammu.
The meeting was organized under the chairmanship of Dr. Meena Sidhu, Prof & Head, Department of Immunohematology and Blood Transfusion & chairperson ISBTI J&K UT Chapter.
The meeting was attended by various office bearers and life members of ISBTI J&K UT chapter. Meeting was conducted by Dr. Navneet Kaur, general secretary ISBTI J&K UT Chapter. All the members actively participated in the meeting and all the issues related to the functioning of the society were discussed threadbare.
Many unanimous decisions were taken in the meeting which included increasing the active membership of the society, to achieve hundred percent Voluntary blood donation by delivering motivational lectures and conduction of Voluntary blood donation camps in various colleges and institutions of J&K.
Vote of thanks was presented by Dr. Mitali Sharma, Assistant Professor, Department of Immunohematology & Blood Transfusion Govt. Medical College Jammu.
