JAMMU, Nov 11: A three day Revised Basic Course Workshop (RBCW) on Medical Education Technologies was organized by Medical Education Unit of Govt. Medical College Jammu under the supervision and guidance of Dr Shashi Sudan Sharma Principal & Dean GMC Jammu.
The workshop was held under the aegis of Nodal Center of National Medical Commission (NMC) at Christian Medical College Ludhiana.
Dr. Ashok Sharma, coordinator MEU and Professor Department of Ophthalmology GMC Jammu was the Coordinator for this workshop. Dr. Gagandeep Kwatra, Prof. & Head Pharmacology CMC Ludhiana was the observer from National Medical Commission for this workshop.
Dr. Ashok Sharma and other MEU Members including Dr. Rajesh Sharma,Dr. Rachna Magotra, Dr. Rachna Sabhawal, Dr. Jyotsana Lamba, Dr. Mohd Razak, Dr. Sanjay Sharma, Dr.Rupali Bargotra and Dr. Manish Singh were the resource faculty for the workshop.
The workshop was attended by the 30 Faculty members of GMC Jammu as trainees. The Resource Faculty gave interactive presentations on Competency Based Medical Education (CBME), learning objectives, new teaching learning methods, newer form of assessment methods and Attitude, Ethics & Communication (AETCOM).
A complete session on Assessment by OSPE/ OSCE methods to check the clinical competence at “shows how” / “perform” level was successfully conducted by exposing the trainees to multiple stations of OSPE/OSCE.
