JAMMU, July 4: In discharge of social duties under supervision and directions of its Principal/Dean, Dr Sunanda Raina the Government Medical College, Jammu treated and rehabilitated socially by handing over one unknown psychiatric patient to her family in Psychiatric Hospital, today.
She was admitted by one stop center and police authorities on June 13 from Jammu. As she started recovering, she started mentioning some landmarks recalling from her feeble memory, which was thought by the Medical Superintendent of the Hospital and social workers to search on Google in order to rehabilitate her.
Accordingly, GMC authorities could found her village in UP and she was identified as wife of one Raj Kumar. Her police station was approached and ultimately her husband came yesterday with all relevant documents and proofs and she was handed over to her family following all legal formalities.
She and her family were very happy and expressed gratitude for all the help, best patient care, free treatment and finally her rehabilitation.
Dr Sunanda Raina said it is a great social cause and her reunion with her family was our responsibility and “I am happy we discharged this duty successfully”.
