GMC Kathua faculty visits quarantined health workers

JAMMU, Apr 4: In what could be described as a noble gesture by Medical Faculty Forum Kathua, an outreach mission was started on directions of Principal GMC Kathua Dr Suleman Choudhary, to reach out to the quarantined health care workers.
Team lead by Dr Raj Rishi Sharma, HoD Surgery visited various places where health care workers are quarantined. Health workers were provided whatever logistics they needed and certain items were enlisted to be provided.
Specially prepared hygienic Snacks were also given to them.
Pertinent to mention here that few days back, Medical Faculty from GMC Kathua had created a Fund for Quarantined Health Workers and collected around Rs 7 Lacs from Medical Faculty and their spouses only.
This Fund will be utilized for health care workers and their families and will be a supplement to the efforts already being made by Central and UT Governments.
At present only Faculty and their spouses will contribute as per constitution of Forum but if the need be an amendment will be brought to collect funds from others also.
