GMC links LMS with JKHRMS; begins employee mapping

Srinagar, Jan 24: In order to ensure transparency in leave request processing, the Government Medical College (GMC), Srinagar, has integrated the Leave Management System (LMS) with the existing J&K Human Resource Management System (JKHRMS).
Officials stated that the LMS module of the institution has been integrated with JKHRMS to facilitate employees in submitting leaves and ensuring timely processing with a special focus on the transparency of the entire process.
“This will allow employees to formally submit their leave solicitations before the leave sanctioning authority to ensure time-bound processing of leave requests,” officials explained.
They added that the integrated module will also ensure the maintenance of leave accounts and accurate record-keeping on JKHRMS, thereby augmenting efficiency, transparency, and accuracy in processing leave requests.
It is noteworthy that, as per the directions issued by the General Administration Department (GAD), all DDOs have been instructed to update employees’ leave accounts and map them with the authorities competent to grant leave according to the Jammu and Kashmir Civil Services (Leave Rules), 1979.
In this context, GMC has commenced the process of mapping employees and has accordingly sought the necessary details from them.
“As such, all reporting officers shall forward the details of employees who are working under their control,” reads a circular issued by GMC, Srinagar.
In addition to GMC, Srinagar, and Associated Hospitals, details have been sought from employees borne on the establishments of Chittranjan Mobile Hospital, AMT School Srinagar, Super Specialty Hospital, Srinagar.
As per the directives, these details are to be submitted within a period of five days positively “so that the process of updating leave accounts and mapping employees on LMS can be completed smoothly.”
The information sought includes the name of the reporting officer with the CPIS number and the names, designation, and CPIS number of subordinate employees working under the control of the reporting officer.
