GMC makes 3rd party verification of IT items mandatory

Srinagar, Jan 3: The Government Medical College (GMC), Srinagar today canceled all the earlier orders issued concerning the verification of Information Technology (I.T) related items procured and made a third-party verification mandatory for the same.
Third-party verification has been mandatory for the IT-related items procured at the GMC, Srinagar and its associated hospitals in Srinagar.
“In supersession of all the previous orders issued by this office regarding Verification of Information Technology (I.T) related items procured for Govt. Medical College & Its Associated Hospitals, Srinagar is hereby cancelled,” reads an order issued by the GMC.
The GMC stated that it is impressed upon all the Procurement Officers/Medical Superintendents of all the Associated Hospitals of Govt. Medical College, Srinagar to go for third party verification of Information Technology (I.T) related items procured for GMC, Srinagar by the Administrative Secretary, Information Technology Department, Civil Secretariat, Srinagar.
In this regard, all the Heads of the Departments of GMC Srinagar, Administrator, Associated Hospitals, Chairperson, Information Technology, Procurement Officer and all the GMC Srinagar Medical Superintendents of the Associated Hospitals have been directed to take note of the same.
