Jammu, Nov 13: Workshop of Airway Management was inaugurated today under the aegis of Indian Society of Anesthesiology Jammu City Branch at Govt Medical College, Jammu.
Faculty of Airway Management Foundation comprising of about 15 senior consultants from Delhi, Punjab, and Chandigarh delivered lectures and had interactive sessions with Faculty, Residents and Post Graduates attending the workshop. Dr Rakesh spokesperson of AMF stressed on the need for airway management; latest gadgets and guidelines.
The two day workshop was inaugurated by Principal & Dean Dr Shashi Sudan, Dr Smriti Gulati, Head of the Department of Anesthesiology and ISA office bearers namely Dr Anita Vig President, Dr Rajesh Mahajan General Dr Anjali Mehta vice President, Dr Updesh Kumar, Treasures & Organizing Secretary were present. About 100 delegates from various hospitals like Govt Hospital Gandhi Nagar, Narayana Hospital & GMC Kathua, GMC Amritsar & MAMC Delhi also participated in the workshop.
Representative from AMBU & Teleflex provided technical support for the workshop.
The highlights of the workshop was training of Post Graduates & Residents of latest Airway gadget like proseal, 1-gel and video laryngoscopies of various types on mannequins. Surgical airway for emergency airway was also shown.
