JAMMU, Feb 23: Principal Government Medical College and Associated Hospitals (GMC&AHs) today chaired a meeting of HoDs, engineering staff and other concerned to review ongoing developmental works in Shri Maharaja Gulab Singh (SMGS) and MCH Gandhi Nagar Hospitals.
During the meeting, the Principal was apprised that the tendering for the installation of AC’s for Thalassemia Ward has been completed and the work shall be completed by the second week of March. It was also decided to repair and renovate the auditorium of SMGS at the earliest.
To streamline the working, Dr Shashi emphasized on the opening of the Microbiology lab, which was damaged in the fire accident. It was discussed in the meeting that the DPR should be submitted in order to repair and renovate Nutrition Rehabilitation Centre (NRC) as the requisite funds are available.
The Principal stressed upon renovation of Ward number 14 and 15. She directed the concerned X-En to submit the DPR in this matter. It was also apprised to the Principal that the stage-2 labour room is ready for operationalization.
Dr Sudhan stressed upon to upgrade the Oxygen Generation Plant of the Hospital, ramping up power infrastructure of the Hospital, upgradation of transformers and preparation of DPR for Independent Receiving Station. She also passed directions to concerned X-En to operationalize the Emergency Triage Assessment and Treatment by March.
She further stressed upon to operationalize MCH Gandhi Nagar fully in the interest of patient care. Later she inspected the different wards and medical facilities.
The meeting was attended by Nagendra Singh Jamwal (Administrator GMC & AHs Jammu), Dr Samriti Gulati (HoD Anaesthesia, Dr Ghanshyam Saini (HoD Pediatrics), Dr Narinder Singh (Associate Professor, Pediatrics Surgery), Sonia Vaid (Deputy Director Planning), Dr Manoj Chalotra (MS SMGS Hospital), besides X-Ens civil, mechanical and electrical.
