JAMMU, July 1: Resident Doctors’ Association of Government Medical College (GMC) Jammu in collaboration with Count Fitness Gym, Talab Tillo, organized a blood donation camp in the Gym premises, to mark Doctors’ Day.
The camp was inaugurated by Dr Sunanda Raina, Principal GMC and HoD, Blood Bank, Dr Neena Sidhu. Besides Gym members, about 25 resident doctors of GMC donated their blood during the camp.
While speaking on the occasion, Principal GMC, said she is proud of resident doctors, who besides providing their services in the Hospital, are also indulging in the noble cause of blood donation for the patients in need. She hoped that their dedication towards their profession and patients in need will not be limited to only on some particular day.
Earlier, a massive plantation drive was carried out in GMC and associated hospitals to mark the Day. Around 170 plants were planted in open spaces of these hospitals.
