JAMMU, May 24 : The Police Housing Corporation will hand over the possession of Attendance Sarai to Government Medical College, Jammu within the shortest possible time.
This was disclosed by Divisional Commissioner, Jammu, Pradeep Gupta, who is also the Chairman, Regional Red Cross Society, in a meeting held here today.
Among others the meeting was attended by Reva Gupta, Administrator Associated Hospitals, GMC, Jammu, Baldev Raj Sharma, DDHS, Parvez Ahmad Malik, Director CAPD, Romesh Chander, Zila Sanik Welfare Officer, Dr. Rajinder Singh, Principal ,GMC, Anil Kumar Padha Honorary Secretary, Red Cross, Anil Suri, President, BBIA and Yash Pal Gupta, President Association of Associated Chamber of Traders Federation were among others present in the meeting.
Threadbare discussion was held on various issues including, clearance of pending electricity bills amounting Rs. 3.25 lakh by GMC, deployment of Manager Cum Incharge for Attendants Sarai, providing of remaining 88 beds, procurement of office furniture, banners and hoardings etc.
The Divisional Commissioner also constituted a committee to look into and sort out these issues at the earliest.
Main sponsorship for Raffle draw ticket from M/s Sarswati Group of Co. handed over a cheque of Rs. 50,000 to the Divisional Commissioner on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, the Divisional Commissioner, lauded the humanitarian services being rendered by the Regional Red Cross Jammu and stressed the need to enroll more volunteers to ensure effective help at the time of need to the suffering humanity.
