GMCEJ organises webinar on ITEP

JAMMU, July 23: Gandhi Memorial College of Education, Jammu (GMCEJ) organised national Webinar on the topic Integrated Teacher Education Programme (ITEP).
The programme started with the introductory part presented by Seema Bhat followed by welcome address by Satish Talashi, Principal, GMCEJ .
Prof Dr Khursheed Ahmad Butt, Dean College Development Council University of Kashmir was the chief guest who virtually inaugurated the webinar. In his speech he stressed on application of different pedagogies for different situations of teaching learning process. He said the main objective is to prepare effective teachers who will be responsible to nourish the youth of the nation.
Prof Dr Nighat Basu, Prof School of Education of the Central University of Kashmir provided the valuable insights and perspectives on the topic through PPT by discussing about the source for updating teachers, particularly at teacher training aspect and also confirms about the importance of learners outcome and adoption of multidisciplinary approach which is need of the hour.
Prof Sunil Kumar Singh , Professor of Education Banaras University highlighted the major challenges like lack of professionalism in teacher education and upgradation of teacher educators by enhancing their teacher training skills.
Prof B L Zuthsi, president Hindu Education Society Kashmir (HESK) and Prof Sunil Tiku also presented their valuable views during interaction session.
The programme was anchored by Seema Bhat and vote of thanks was proposed by Heema Kaul.
