JAMMU, Dec 27: General Officer Commanding (GOC) of 16 Corps Lieutenant General Sandeep Jain today reviewed the security situation in the hinterland.
Lt Gen Jain visited Counter Insurgency Force (Delta), headquartered in Ramban sector and carried out a comprehensive security review.
Sources said the Corps Commander, who took over the command recently, reviewed the operational preparedness of the units as well as preparedness for winters and snowfall.
The Field Commanders briefed the Corps commander on the situation and Army’s readiness for winters and snow spell.
“The Commanders on ground also briefed the GOC regarding various actions being undertaken by the troops to ensure peace and stability in the region,” sources said, adding that the Commander commended all ranks for their unwavering dedication to duty, selfless devotion and high standards of professionalism, and stressed the need to remain vigilant to counter the anti-national elements.
