JAMMU, Jan 3: General Officer Commanding (GOC) of Jammu-based White Knight Corps, Lieutenant General Navin Sachdeva, visited forward areas along the Line of Control (LoC) in the twin border districts of Rajouri and Poonch today to review security and operational preparedness.

He also engaged with trainee IAS officers, discussing topics related to national security, governance and civil-military synergy, emphasising their importance for building a stronger India, they said.
“The GOC, White Knight Corps, along with the GOC of the Ace of Spades Division, visited forward posts along the LoC in Poonch and Rajouri to review security and operational preparedness,” the White Knight Corps stated on X.
Lieutenant General Sachdeva lauded the troops for their commitment to peace and urged them to maintain vigilance.
Regularly conducting security review meetings as part of his commitment to maintaining peace and stability in the region, Lt Gen Sachdeva held detailed discussions with field commanders and troops to ensure operational readiness and enhanced vigilance along the sensitive border areas.
He also met local population in border villages, understanding their concerns and assuring them of the Army’s continued support in ensuring their safety and addressing developmental challenges. His interactions highlighted the Indian Army’s focus on fostering trust and cooperation with the people of the region.
“The GOC’s consistent visits to forward areas and his interactions with locals and officials demonstrate the Indian Army’s dedication to securing the borders and strengthening the bond with the civilian population,” the officials stated.
Lt Gen Sachdeva praised the troops for their unwavering dedication and resilience in safeguarding the borders while maintaining peace in the region. His regular engagements with locals, civil authorities, and field personnel reflect his commitment to addressing both security and developmental concerns in the twin districts of Rajouri and Poonch, the officials said.
