Goldsmith stabbed

SRINAGAR, May 30: A goldsmith was stabbed by four robbers who attempted to carry out robbery at his shop in Chadoora area of Budgam district today.
A police spokesman said that four alleged robbers barged into a goldsmith’s shop at Chattergam-Chadoora, Budgam and tried to carry out robbery. The goldsmith Manzoor Ahmed Bhat son of Mohammad Ibrahim, resident of Sanzipora, while resisting their move was stabbed by the robbers.
One of the robbers Abdul Rashid Ganie, son of Mohammad Sultan, resident of Wagoora Chadoora was arrested by the police with the help of locals. Three others managed to flee from the spot. They have been identified as Bilal Ahmad Wani, son of Ghulam Ahmed resident of Checkpora-Kanihama, Nowgam, Mehraj Ahmad Ganie, son of Abdul Gani, resident of Parigam-Pulwama and Mohammad Amin Wani resident of Kanipora- Nowgam.
Meanwhile, the injured goldsmith has been shifted to SKIMS Soura for treatment. A case has been registered in this regard.
