JAMMU, Sept 1: The 39th meeting of the Governing Body of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Narayana Superspeciality Hospital, Kakryal, was held here under the chairmanship of Dr S S Bloeria, Member of Shrine Board and Chairman of the Governing Body of the Hospital.
The Governing Body undertook detailed review of the to-date status of the various upcoming diagnostic and treatment facilities at the Superspeciality Hospital, Kakryal in sync with the emerging requirements. In this context, it was informed that all the required arrangements were being put in place as per schedule for operationalising the PET CT Scanner at SSH Kakryal in order to make this facility available to the patients by December this year.
Dr. Bloeria emphasized that keeping in view the infrastructure and other requirements of the SSH Kakryal in the near future, there is urgent need for working out the required modalities for ensuring the timely arrangements in place. He also emphasized the need for early setting up of the tele-medicine facility at this tertiary care hospital for the benefit of the people of remote areas of the State.
Referring to the to-date status in regard to provision of Organ Transplant facility at the Superspeciality Hospital Kakryal, Dr. Bloeria asked the CEO, SMVDNSH to follow up the matter with the concerned authorities for securing of the licence and early start of the much needed facility.
B B Vyas, Member Shrine Board and Chairman of the Finance and Audit Committee of the Hospital; and Jitendra Kumar Singh, CEO Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board, both Members of the Governing Body; Dr M K Kumar, Additional CEO; Dr (Brig) Man Mohan Harjai, Chief Administrative Officer, SMVDNSH; and other concerned officers and engineers from the Shrine Board participated in the meeting.
Those who took part in the Governing Body meeting deliberations on behalf of NVDSHPL/ NH included Dr Ashutosh Raghuvanshi, Vice Chairman, MD and Group CEO Narayana Hrudayalaya, Sunil Kumar CN, Regional Director, NH, both members of the Governing Body of the Hospital; Dr Suneet Marwah, Chief Executive Officer, SMVDNSH; and Manu Ramachandar, Facility Director, SMVDNSH.
The Governing Body also reviewed the functioning of the Jammu OPD of the SSH, Kakryal and suggested several measures for bringing about continuous improvements in the facilities for the patients.
On the recommendations of the FAC, the Governing Body approved granting of 50 percent discount on room rent given by the Hospital to lactating mothers during their wards/ infants ICU admission time.
