Governor asks people to voluntarily donate blood

SRINAGAR, June 13:  Governor N.N. Vohra has observed, in a message, that World Blood Donor Day is celebrated worldwide on 14th June every year for raising public awareness about the need for healthy persons voluntarily making safe blood donations.
The celebration of World Blood Donor Day provides a precious opportunity for re-invigorating the noble practice of blood donation all over the world and also thanking blood donors whose contributions result in saving precious human lives.
Emphasising the importance of voluntary blood donation, Governor observed that well run blood banks help in saving millions of lives every year. He appealed that every healthy adult should come forward to voluntarily donate blood, on a regular basis.
