Lucknow : Uttar Pradesh Governor B L Joshi today tendered his resignation.
According to Raj Bhawan sources, Mr Joshi has sent his resignation to President Pranab Mukherjee. Speculations regarding the UP Governor’s resignation were rife since the formation of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government at the Centre.
There were speculations that the Governors of some states, who were appointed under the esrtwhile regime of United Progressive Alliance (UPA), will be changed under the NDA’s regime. (Agencies)
