Governor, CM extend New Year greetings

JAMMU, Dec 31: On the eve of the New Year, Governor N.N. Vohra, has conveyed warm wishes and greetings to the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
In his message of greetings and good wishes, the Governor observed that the installation of the PDP-BJP Government in March 2015 marked a significant phase in the political evolution of the State. He observed that the overall security situation had remained under control, as also militancy related violence, and lauded the fortitude of the people living all along the borders for facing varied difficulties arising from repeated cease-fire violations and other developments from across.
The Governor wished the people a bright and happy New Year and prayed that 2016 would bring sustained peace along the frontiers which would usher progress and prosperity in the State.
Chief Minister, Mufti Mohammad Sayeed has also extended New Year greetings to the people of the State and prayed for their well-being and prosperity.
In his message, Mufti Sayeed hoped that the people would experience a happy and prosperous 2016 with the State witnessing all-round development. “We resolve to rededicate ourselves to make J&K a strong, vibrant and a peaceful State,” he added.
The Chief Minister also sought cooperation of the people in making J&K a model State in the country.
