Governor, CM greet people on Eid

SRINAGAR, Aug 8:  N. N. Vohra, Governor, has conveyed warm greetings to the people on the joyous and auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr.
In a message of felicitations, the Governor expressed the hope that this auspicious occasion would be the harbinger of peace, progress, prosperity and happiness and would strengthen the bonds of communal harmony, brotherhood and amity, which are the hallmarks of J&K’s glorious pluralistic traditions.
The Governor prayed for the well-being of the people of the State.
Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah has also felicitated people on Eid-ul-Fitr wishing them well-being and prosperity.
In his greetings message, the Chief Minister highlighted the essence of Eid and said that this Day is to address the needs of poor and share Eid-bliss with them.
Omar Abdullah said that the spirit behind the observance of Eid-ul-Fitr is to express our thanks to Almighty Allah for giving us the courage to observe fast in the month of Ramdhan and rededicate ourselves to the path of truthfulness, sincerity, self-control, patience and human dignity.
The Chief Minister prayed for peace and prosperity and wished the Eid be harbinger for all round development in the State and the country. He also hoped that this holy occasion would strengthen the bonds of communal harmony, brotherhood and amity.
